Job Description

Position Summary:  Responsible for assisting with sales and production, receiving, sorting, organizing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor; responsible for online sales. Part Time position

Key Responsibilities:
40% of time devoted to online sales:
•Collaborates with Development team to build a social media plan focusing on high valued store products, customer retention, site traffic, and promoting sales,
•Creates new ways to reach out to target audiences,
•Runs reports that include Facebook ads, Ebay or Twitter analytics for sales reports,
•Responds to social media posts,
•Takes pictures of products and posts on social media pages.

60% of time devoted to store sales:
•Works on-floor merchandizing of items.
•Receives donations from donors and prepares donation receipt and records items for inventory purposes.
•Sorts, coordinates and organizes daily donations according to size, color, etc. and ensures quality merchandise is sorted from merchandise that should be discarded or prepared for bulk donations.
•Researches and prices and tags merchandise to reflect a competitive, yet appropriate price for the resale shop.
•Answers phone and communicates in a courteous and polite manner; assists customers with merchandise questions and rings up store items.
•Organizes clothing according to size, color, season, style, etc. and places on store racks for sale; periodically organizes the sales floor to ensure a clean and organized shopping environment for customers.
•Assists clients with completing vouchers for household goods, clothing, etc., for their personal use.
•Ensures the production area inventory, sales floor areas and dressing rooms are clean and organized for quick sales.
•Runs the cash register and receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits; maintains clean and orderly checkout areas.
•Assists customers with questions regarding merchandise.

Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Associates Degree in marketing or similar and at least two (2) years of years of experience working in a retail environment organizing, sorting and assisting customers with merchandise. At least one year of experience with online sales that include sales on Facebook, EBay and similar online sites.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid and clear Tx Driver’s License

Knowledge and Skills and Abilities:
•Advanced knowledge of Poshmark, Ebay and any other merchandising sites.
•Knowledge of new, creative outside marketing ideas to attract new customers.
•Knowledge of organizing and sorting of clothing and household merchandise.
•Knowledge of appropriate pricing techniques for merchandise.
•Knowledge of inventory techniques.
•Ability to be a team player and have a friendly and engaging personality with  customers and clients.
•Ability to accurately issue receipts or change to customers; counts money in  cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and  that there is adequate change.
•Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
•Ability to run a cash register.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Skilled at social media postings.
•Ability to use a camera to take pictures and post online.
•Self-Motivated and able to with little supervision.

Mental and Physical Abilities: Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and will be required to lift large amounts of stock. Work may require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to thirty (30) to (50) pounds; frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching.

Working Conditions: Duties may be performed in a warehouse like environment where there is some dust and dirt.  Work involves working weekends and some evenings, when required.
