Job Description

Responsible for the development, planning, and coordination of services of the Be Project including classroom education, leadership groups and therapeutic services in schools aimed at building healthy relationships and preventing family and sexual violence.
Key Responsibilities:
•Trains, supervises, and provides clinical guidance to program staff, volunteers, and interns; facilitates weekly staff meetings.
•Monitors, evaluates, and ensures the effectiveness of the Be Project primary prevention and intervention services to children and youth.
•Oversees curriculum implementation efforts, including updates/changes to current curricula and identifying new curricula as program services evolve.
•Serves on appropriate community-based coalitions and committees, builds and manages relationships with community partners, including school administrators and counselors, community-based agencies, juvenile detention facilities and others, to ensure successful program delivery. 
•Participates in funding development and marketing of the Be Project, including grant-writing and reports to public and private funders.
•Responsible for and management of program budget.
•Prepares and submits program statistics, including program evaluation information, , in a timely and accurate manner.
•Supports and develops agency wide prevention initiatives.
•Attends and participates in required staff and management meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions.
•Provides external trainings and clinical consultation to community professionals.
•Participates in agency program functions as requested.
•Works as an effective member of a team with other Family Place staff and programs.
•Maintains current license and professional knowledge of teen dating violence, sexual violence, youth development, primary prevention, etc.
•Supervises field work of staff – visit schools and other locations to observe staff facilitating activities, provide coaching and guidance on effective facilitation, and meet with school staff to ensure we are meeting needs and expectations
•Facilitates, Coordinates, and Delivers Community Presentations related to prevention, Teen Dating Violence, agency programs and services, and other related topics

Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Masters’ degree in social work, counseling, education, or related field required.  Clinical licensure required (e.g. LPC, LCSW, etc.), with supervisory licensure preferred.  Three years experience working with children/adolescents and/or family violence required and two years management or supervisory experience required. 

Strong leadership, presentation, verbal/written communication, and organizational skills required. Strong working knowledge of child development required. Reliable transportation required. 
Licenses and Certifications:
•Valid Texas Driver’s License and clear driving record
Clinical licensure required (e.g. LPC, LCSW, etc.), with supervisory licensure preferred. 

Knowledge and Skills and Abilities:
•Knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, bullying, teenage dating violence, youth development, etc.
•Ability to interact and communicate effectively with students, staff, school personnel.
•Ability to prioritize and self motivate to accomplish job goals.
•Ability to perform work efficiently and effectively under stressful situations.
•Excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) are required.
•Ability to build strong teams to meet performance goals.
•Ability to provide guidance to staff when students make outcries about abuse
•Able to manage multiple projects; able to determine project urgency in a practical way.
•Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Mental and Physical Abilities: Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 lbs).

Working Conditions: Work may be performed but is not limited to an office environment. Ability to work some weekends and evening hours for special projects.
