Job Description

Position Summary:  This position is responsible for database management and agency wide data including the collection of data, data integrity, producing statistical reports and providing statistical information to funders and donors.

Key Responsibilities:

•Maintains and manages organization’s statistical database, SALESFORCE.
•Maintains and manages information and identifies specific information needed for statistical reports; provides statistical data for staff as needed for funding sources.
•Applies statistical theories, techniques, and methods to gather, analyze, interpret, and/or report quantified information.
•Builds relationships across the organization to better understand the direction and identify future client solutions and business needs.
•Maintains and administers client tracking system; responsible for database integrity, problem solving and staff training; ensures data entry on client information is correct and provides data and reports to funders, when necessary.
•Responsible for coordination and oversight of the Annual Census Bureau data collection and information submission.
•Responsible for oversight of agency participation in the annual Continuum of Care Homeless Count.
•Collects data related to the outcomes for all funder reports and annual agency reports; provides statistical information for grant reporting for all grants as required.
Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is required in a field related to statistical analysis, mathematics or similar and a background in social services program data collection is preferred, with a minimum three years of statistical theories, methods and techniques.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Knowledge and experience with agency statistics and reporting.
•Proficient in Salesforce database or similar product with a thorough understanding of the database concepts and terminology.
•Ability to present statistical data to consumers with little or no knowledge of technical matters. 
•Experience in analyzing data for medium to large organizations
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint Outlook and Excel
•Ability to relay data in an understandable manner is key.
•Ability to multi-task, be flexible and maintain a positive work environment.
•Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally, and adapt style to fit different audiences.
•Ability to make presentations regarding the statistical data in a professional manner.
•The ability to work well and collaborate with others is imperative to the success of this position.
•Ability to apply statistical expertise to problems, problem solving and quality focus
•Proficient in using standard office equipment
•Ability to driver an agency vehicle or personal vehicle to travel to various satellite offices.
•Proficient use of search engines such as Internet Explorer or Google chrome
•Ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Mental and Physical Abilities: Ability to sit, work on computer and answer phones at least 8 hours per day; ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand, walk, stoop, speak and listen; ability to drive agency vehicle and follow driving laws and keep passengers safe.

Working Conditions: Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 35 lbs).  Work may be performed but is not limited to an office environment.
